Home Work By Julie Andrews

Home Work is an no holds barred look into the life of one of Hollywood’s most accomplished actresses. Andrews shares her life and rise to fame in this honest and exposing memoir.

I was impressed with how vulnerable Julie Andrews gets in this memoir. She shares the story of her dysfunctional upbringing in an unstable home; her time in Vaudeville and Broadway; her film career; her marriage to famous Hollywood director, Blake Edwards; and the challenges of family life in the spotlight.

I have always enjoyed her work; and learning more about her life and story was inspiring. Julie has lived a fascinating life, and has overcome enormous challenges. She is relatable and charming, and an excellent writer. I recommend this autobiography to anyone with a curiosity about what major stars experience on their rise to fame.
