It’s that time again! Our Summer Reading Program starts next week.

The last day of school is May 25^th and sixth graders officially become seventh graders. That means you can now come into the Teen Room and participate in all it has to offer! Stop by the Teen Room on May 25^th and pick up your paper reading log at our desk. You can also check out our website www.ccpls.org to participate in the program digitally.

End-of -Summer Party

It’s the end of summer! Well, sort of. Come join us as we wrap up our Summer Reading program on July 28, 2021 from 1:30-4pm. Can you pick up things with your knees and run? Do you want to be a human ring toss? Come play these minute-to-win it games and have a snack. We will also hold a drawing for all the grand prizes you guys have been working so hard for! Can’t wait to see you!

New Seventh Graders and Summer Reading

It’s that time of year again here in the Teen Room: as the school year draws to a close, we are gearing up for a fresh class of seventh graders and a spectacular Summer Reading Program. We are in the final countdown with less than a week until launch day.

On May 27^th sixth graders officially become seventh graders and gain access to the full offerings of this Teen Room space. We could not be more excited and will be marking the occasion with treats.

But that’s not all! May 27^th also marks the first day of our Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program. Come pick up a paper log at our Teen Room desk or check out our website at www.ccpls.org to register to log your minutes digitally.

We are so excited about both our prizes and programs this year and really hope you will be, too.

Teen Summer Reading!

Are you participating in our Teen Summer Reading program?!

It’s super easy! Sign up now at http://ccplswy.readsquared.com/. Then all you have to do is read 150 minutes or 150 pages, whatever is easiest for you. You keep track however you want. Each time you read 150 minutes or 150 pages, you earn a take-home prize of your choice. You can win a free book, a drawstring backpack, a water bottle, pizza and so much more! Easy, right?

If you prefer, though, you can stop by the Teen Room for a paper log, and track your reading and prizes that way. In either the online or paper version, you will cross off squares on a bingo card as you read and complete other activities.

Take-home prizes may be collected at the CCPL Teen Room desk, or via curbside delivery, from June 15 through August 24.

Teen Summer Reading!

It’s super easy! Come down to the Teen room and grab a bingo sheet. Then all you have to do is read 3 hours or 300 pages, whatever is easiest for you. You keep track however you want. When you read 3 hrs or 300 pages you get to pick your prize. You can win a free book, a drawstring backpack, a water bottle, slime, pizza and so much more! Easy, right?

But wait, there’s more!!! Anytime you cross off a square you get a raffle ticket! You can use those tickets to enter for a chance to win one of our SIX prize baskets. Each basket has a different theme; Find Your Zen, Baker’s Dozen, Gamers, Cup of Sunshine, and not one, but two Night at the Movies.

Find Your Zen comes with a fleece throw for stargazing, a cosmic magnetic sculpture, a Kylo Ren piggy bank, and $50 Goldbucks to be used at any participating stores in town.

Baker’s Dozen comes with two different mixes, pot holders, measuring cups and spoons, a $25 gift card to Alla Lala Cupcakes, and $25 gift card to Ice Cream Café.

Teen Summer Reading is Out of This World!

This year, our summer reading program is theme is “A Universe of Stories” and we have a ton of fun activities in the Teen Room here at Campbell County Public Library! We’re kicking off the summer with a party on May 23, 3-5 pm! Join us down in the teen room for an open mic, and snacks, and you can even visit the Wyoming Stargazers’ Digital Planetarium up in the atrium! Make sure you grab a ticket and reading log!

On June 19, 2-5:30, we will be hosting a Hogwarts Escape Room! Bring your friends to find the clues to escape Professor Vector’s office. But be warned; you only have 30 minutes!

Throughout the summer weekends we will be having a Star Wars Marathon starting on June 21, 1-4 pm. Catch up on all the movies before Star Wars IX: The Rise of Skywalker opens in theaters this December!

We will be having a Space Escape Room on July 10, 2-4 pm. Your group is trapped in a space shuttle that will self-destruct if you do not solve the clues! See you there!

Finally, we will be having our End of Summer Party on July 24, 1-4 pm. There will be outdoor water games, snacks, and drawing for our six prize baskets. You do not have to be in attendance to win, but please come join us!
