Science fiction is my favorite genre, and I’m so glad I finally picked up Project Hail Mary. This book is smart, engaging, and exactly the kind of sci-fi I enjoy the most.
Andy Weir perfectly balances high-stakes science with humor. The sarcastic, dry wit works beautifully-even (and especially) when facing an apocalyptic event. I also really appreciated that the book didn’t rely heavily on strong language, letting the humor and storytelling shine without it.
Ryland Grace is a compelling lead, and Rocky completely stole my heart. Watching the bond form between them as they work together to save their respective planets was one of the most rewarding parts of the story.
Project Hail Mary is funny, emotional, and deeply satisfying-a standout science fiction novel and an easy recommendation for any sci-fi fan. You bet I will be going to the theater to see the movie in March, hope to see you there.
